MY FAMILY
MY FAMILY - the most important thing in my life, and also my religion and my music. I'm a lucky guy because I have a very pretty and glamourous Welsh wife with red hair, green eyes and a gentle, kind and caring nature. She is a non-smoker, non-drinker, rock steady and a wonderfull and perfect mother to our 4 children - 2 boys and 2 girls in that order! My wife Rosemary and me have been happily married for 36 years and still goin' strong! Almost unheard of these days let alone in show business! We have raised out children 'on the straight and narrow' and I'm happy to say that all 4 of our children are now in professional positions.
Our eldest son Xavier Fernandez (my family name is Fernandez) is an English teacher at the Bloomsbury International Language School in the centre of London. Before that he taught English in Spain for 4 years and can speak Spanish fluently. He also taught in Japan for 7 years and can speak Japanese too! So he is a linguist with 4 languages, English, Welsh, Spanish and Japanese. He is also very talented and plays drums in my band whenever possible.
Our second son Fabian Fernandez takes after me - he is a Singer / Songwriter / Awesome guitarist, arranger, guitar teacher and studio session man in Los Angeles, California. Both our daughters are qualified high-profile lawyers. Our elder daughter Rosabel Fernandez is a lawyer in Swansea City in Wales and our youngest daughter Christabel Fernandez was a lawyer in Aberystwyth, a nice seaside and University town in West Wales before moving to London. Both girls speak several languages too and I never dreamed I'd have two daughters who are both lawyers! How many people can say that? I'M A HAPPY MAN!
Furthermore - I have to add that not only am I a HAPPY MAN! but a VERY VERY HAPPY MAN! as my youngest daughter Christabel got married to a lovely young African American who is also a lawyer in London. The marriage took place in our Catholic Church in a traditional, holy Catholic wedding ceremony. It was a significant wedding as guests were truly international -- American, Nigerian, Welsh, English, Irish, Scots, Spanish, Cuban, Armenian, Iranian, Indian, Pakistani, Shri Lanka, Sierra Leone, Tanzanian, Jamacian -- and apart from people from Mars everybody was there! My wife Rosemary and me were proud and prievliged to give our daughter Christabel's hand in marriage to big Roy a gentle giant and a gentleman, and also a prominent lawyer in London. So now I have 3 lawyers in my Family!!! My daughter has now relocated to London to be with her new husband in her new home and in a new job with a big Jewish law firm.
The evening entertainment at the wedding was provided by a Disco and guess who? Yeh! me THE FATHER OF THE BRIDE! -- THE PHIL FERNANDO BAND!
